Friday-Food-Frenzy: COOL Dishes for HOT Summer Days

With the weekend upon us, and the temperature mounting, I scoured MyJudytheFoodie for some recipes that’ll provide a cool relief to the sweltering heat.  For the week’s Friday-Food-Frenzy items, you’ll get to enjoy two very quick and easy side dishes that will compliment any meal.  We’ve dealt with part of the meal planning for you.  Just print out the recipes, put them in your back pocket and try them this weekend alongside your barbecue.  And, don’t forget to write in and tell us what you think (do you prefer Judy’s Cole Slaw with Grapes and Almonds or Judy’s Venezuelan Cole Slaw)?

  1. yum

  2. I’m thinking that curry rice salad would be a great use for leftover rice too. I love subbing Greek Yogurt for some mayo in recipes. I hope Judy doesn’t mind I’m always trying to health her up.

  3. I thought I was the only one with a Friday Food category. Mine is because I’m Catholic and try not to eat meat on Fridays, so now I have a new place to look when I can’t come up with something myself.

By the way. which plug-in are you using for your recipes? I have been looking at Word Press plug-ins today since I came across your site from the Foodie Blogroll, and I can’t seem to find the one you are using. I especially like the print button. You can reply to me at the email shown if you do not want to divulge the information here, and of course, you are welcome to delete this comment as well, should you wish. Thanks in advance.
