Father’s Day Slow Cooker Giveaway

Father’s Day is almost here. For me it’s become synonymous with mid-day gatherings, some tasty BBQ and quality family time. It’s also become the unofficial kick-off to summer as my kids have already completed school.

Although Father’s Day is the same day on the calendar every year, regardless, I find myself scrounging to purchase and send gifts at the last minute.

I do most of my shopping online because I just don’t have the time or patience to travel to the actual stores. I’ve found that Kohl’s.com has a wide selection of items perfect for any summertime soiree. From Bobby Flay’s™ new line of cookware, bake ware and party ware to Food Networks™ kitchen canisters, colorful utensils and place mats, you’ve got affordable one-stop-summer-shopping at your fingertips.

And, don’t forget, while most people reserve the art of slow cooking for wintertime (for casseroles and large roasts) it’s also an ideal cooking method for summertime too.

Why?

Because slow cooking allows you to cook without heating up your kitchen. You can choose to grill your burgers and dogs outside or you can slow cook your chicken and meat for some shredded BBQ chicken or BBQ pork sandwiches. And, the best part? It’s hassle-free and there’s no mess. You can utilize your cooking vessel as a serving piece so you can serve your meat right from the dish! I’ve had many culinary successes with my cooker and continued to test its boundaries. I started experimenting with stews and meats and then moved on to casseroles, and even desserts.

What are you waiting for?

You can start planning your diversified summer menu now.  Check out everything Kohl’s has to offer and, you can also enter to win your very own KitchenAid 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker that offers four temperature settings, 24-hour programmability a smart LED display and much much more:

  5. I love the way beef stew comes out when it’s done in a slow cooker, but I’d love an updated model so I could branch out a bit and try some new things, like lasagne or a whole chicken, or cake.

I would make some homemade baked beans in the slow cooker using my Mom’s recipe.

I love the fact that this one is programmable and a pot roast with veggies would be so good. One of those recipes that makes it’s own gravy as it cooks. Yummy.

  8. Laurie Emerson says:

I would make my homemade Jambalaya. It would taste so much richer in a slow cooker where all of the spices could simmer.
