Congratulations to Lauren Kelly for winning the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt, Sorbet and Ice Cream Maker!!!

It’s SUMMERTIME!

The days are getting HOTTER.

You’re going to SWEAT more.

You’re going to crave anything that makes you feel COOL and REFRESHED!

Who wouldn’t want to INDULGE in some frozen yogurt, or sorbet, or ice cream?

Growing up, I lived for the 3 o’clock hour when I’d hear that familiar ring to the Good Humour ice cream truck.  I’d race down the driveway with money in hand, salivating for some ice cream to help off set the heat.

Later, summers at camp were highlighted by the ultimate TREAT- ice cream dessert nights where we were allowed to create ice cream sundaes from a smorgasboard of sweet toppings.

And, how could I forget those weekend days making sorbets with my father in our kitchen.  The more obscure the fruit, the more excited Dad would get watching the sugar and fruit churn around and freeze.

So, it’s time to CELEBRATE SUMMER and GET YOUR SCOOP ON !

We’re giving away an awesome Cuisinart ICE-30BC Pure Indulgence 2-Quart Automatic Frozen Yogurt, Sorbet, and Ice Cream Maker.

You’ll adore this appliance because:

  • It’s a fully automatic frozen yogurt, sorbet, and ice cream maker.
  • Brushed stainless-steel housing; heavy-duty motor
  • Large ingredient spout for easily adding favorite mix-ins
  • Double-insulated 2-quart freezer bowl

Remember, if you’re not an ice cream fan, you can make yogurt and sorbet too.  Everyone’s happy.

And, don’t fret.  We’re not just going to give you a new kitchen appliance without an awesome book to help you figure out what you want to make.  You’ll also get a copy of The Perfect Scoop: Ice Creams, Sorbets, Granitas, and Sweet Accompaniments by David Leibowitz!

The Perfect Scoop, is pastry chef David Lebovitz’s gorgeous guide to the pleasures of homemade ice creams, sorbets, granitas, and more.  This collection of frozen treats ranges from classic (Chocolate Sorbet) to comforting (Tin Roof Ice Cream), contemporary (Mojito Granita) to cutting edge (Pear-Pecorino Ice Cream), and features an arsenal of sauces, toppings, mix-ins, and accompaniments (such as Lemon Caramel Sauce, Peanut Brittle, and Profiteroles) capable of turning simple ice cream into perfect scoops of pure delight.
