I am taking a break from the normal recipe post.   I couldn't let this symbolic month  (Breast Cancer Awareness, Mom's intended 70th birthday, 4th Anniversary of Mom's death) tick away without talking about breast cancer. Shaved Brussels sprouts with Olive Oil and Sea Salt

Something very strange has happened the past two nights for dinner:  my son has demanded vegetables!  I swear.   I thought I was having an out of body experience.  And, this morning for breakfast, he asked for vegetables, again: Brussels sprouts.  The past two days, all he’s eaten for the past two dinners is Brussels sprouts. Slow Cooked Black Bean Beef Chili

I might sound like a broken record but I don’t care: Slow cooked meals are so easy and stress free.  My crock pot is the best investment I’ve made for my kitchen since I started my culinary journey (and you can purchase yours here)!!
